2017 Garden Party & Open House -
Tuesday, August 22 was our second annual Garden Party & Open House. Attendees enjoyed refreshments and learned about the Farm Service Agency (FSA), the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), and the Douglas County Conservation District, all housed in the USDA Service Center. Our focus of pollinators continued through presentations by bee expert Tim Gogolski, of GOGO's Bee Co. and K-State Extension Agent for Geary County, Chuck Otte. On August 9th, 2016, a great crowd enjoyed learning more about the role of pollinators in our world and viewing the newly planted pollinator garden funded by the Douglas County Foundation through the Elizabeth Schultz Environmental Fund.
